Jaxson T Ball 2011
Our youngest grandson is growing up. At 3 1/2 years old, he started T-ball with the park district this summer. It is totally hysterical to watch 10 3 and 4 year olds trying to learn to play baseball. They spent more time chasing each other than they did the ball or throwing sand from the outfield or running to mom to get another drink of water. You KNOW what happens after that! LOL. Here are some photo's from Jaxson at T-ball practice.
Embossing folders
There are so many new tools and design plates available now that enhase making of design cards. The embossing folders by varioius companies help make a card look elegant and more professional. Many companies are now coming out with these folders. Cherry Lynn, Mariann, Cuttlebug, Sizzex all have wonderful folders available. Spellbinders has die cuts that make cutting circles, ovals, and many other shapes so easy and look so elegant. I recently purchased the Tim Holtz Vagabond electric embossing machine and its just wonderful. While the crank machines get the job done, for me, they are difficult to work and many times I would get my knuckles slapped by a handle whiplashing back or the boards shooting out so fast they hit me and sting. With the electric machine, its just a press of a finger and the dies go thru the machine and are done. I have uploaded several of the more recent cards I have done. August is a very busy month with alot of birthdays and anniversaries.

Aunt Lorraine
Our family lost a great lady on August 3, 2011. John's Aunt Lorraine Backey went to her final resting place and to be with her beloved husband Wade. For the past 10 years John went down to Florida to spend time with her, help with some small chores around the house and have fun enjoying her pool, flea markets and the wonders that Florida has to offer. They had a special bond and truly enjoyed spending time together. We will all miss her, but know she is at peace with no more suffering. She will always be with us in our hearts. Aloha Lorrie.
