October 2010 cards
Sometimes it seems the need for various cards is endless these days. Here are 4 cards that I did this week. 2 birthday cards and 2 Halloween cards. With the use of Cuddlebug embossing folders, Spellbinders Nestibilities and Martha Stewart Punches, different effects are possible with different embellishments.

Diamond National World Karate Tournament
Our grandson, Hayden, took part in the Diamond National World Karate Tournament in Minappolis MN. today and came in 2nd place for his age and class in form. They orginally were going to only watch the events and his instructor convinced our daughter to let him compete. He is so excited, and so are we. We are so proud of him. He should be very proud of himself, he has accomplished alot for a 7 year old.

Cuttlebug Embossing folders
I made this card using the triptyph template and then embossed the front flaps with the gate Cuttlebug embossing folder. Cut out and embossed the rectagle piece on the front with a Spellbinders rectangle die, added a Holographic 3D flower and some peel off borders and corners. makes a pretty and unusual shaped card. For the inside I used a text weight star dreams paper and run it thru the computer to put the verse on it, cut it a little smaller than the original template and then trimmed it with peel off edges.

Scenic stamping

Got out the ink and after 3 days of re-organizing my un-mounted stamp collection, had some time to play.
Scenic stamping is wonderful as it allow me to go where ever my minds eye takes me. The barn scene reminds of my youth and going up to Wisconsin to play on my aunts farm. Pick blueberries, shoot cans off the fence and milk the cows. the western scene is my depiction of a scene on a tapestry hanging in my front room and the mountain scene and the German house is part of the wonderful memories I have from living in Germany for 2 years as a teenager.

Newest cards
Special cards for special occasions. Using some of the newest tools from Cuttlebug with the new cutting and embossing folders sure makes it easy to make a pretty design card.
My daughter celebrated her birthday this week and I always try to come up with something different and pretty for her. I love the new 5x7 foldes and the cameo embellishment from Mellissa Francis. Happy Birthday Traci!
The other card is for my brother in law and sister in law for their 25th anniversary. Congrats on a milestone celebration. Wishes for many more!

Email Subscriptions
Sorry for the confusion about subscribing to my blog. I just received a notice that they charge per month for having subscribers to a blog now. While I don't have many and don't expect to have many, I also do not want to pay for it since having the blog itself is free. So, guess the best thing to do it bookmark it if you want to check back or set as a favorite. Thanks for your understanding.

San Diego 2010
Scott is doing alot better since his motorcycle accident and starting to feel like doing more. John was out in San Diego with him for 10 days and they managed to get out and around town some to keep Scott moving.
We have always loved San Diego and always wanted to live there, but the cost of living is so out of sight that it was never possible for us. But do love the weather, views, ocean and its a wonderful place!
While there, they went to the see the USS Midway Museum and tour the ship. Great way to experience what daily living was like aboard a ship and they have many simulators that make it all seem so real. John was aboard the Hornet while in the Navy but Scott and Autumn were pretty impressed with the ship,
